Hello, My name is Dr. Catherine Berdanier. I am an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State. My research group and I specialize in studying graduate-level engineering education. My colleague, Dr. Jessica Deters (University of Nebraska Lincoln), and I have a newly-funded project that we are requesting your help with. We are conducting a nationwide study on interpersonal lab dynamics (how individuals interact) in graduate engineering research laboratory environments., particularly with respect to lab groups with students representing many different countries. The first part of this study is an online survey, which comprises demographic information and your perspectives on graduate student learning, development, related attitudes toward learning, and your perspectives on your experiences in your research group.
