Re: [Code to PhD] Recruiting PhD Student Volunteers for Application Support Program

My name is Christiana Marchese, and I am a PhD Student at UChicago, reaching out on behalf of Code to PhD. Code to PhD (https://codetophd.github.io/) is a group of Computer Science PhD students across various universities (Columbia, MIT, Northwestern, UChicago, etc.) who are organizing programs to support and mentor underrepresented students throughout their PhD degree programs.

This fall, we’re launching an application support mentorship program to assist prospective PhD applicants from underrepresented backgrounds. Participants will be matched with current CS PhD students for guidance and support throughout the application process, including help with personal statements, CVs, and general advice.

We are currently recruiting PhD student volunteers to serve as mentors, and we would greatly appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity with PhD students in CS-related disciplines at UF.

Interested students can sign up to volunteer via this link: Volunteer Sign-Up Form.

If you have any questions about the program or Code to PhD, feel free to reach out to me directly or email us at codetophd@gmail.com.

Thank you so much for your help!

Best,
Christiana Marchese
Code to PhD Organizer
