Engineering Innovation Certificate

The Engineering Innovation Certificate is a great way to strengthen your graduate education by developing skills in innovation, creativity, and problem solving skills that prepare you to launch your own venture (entrepreneurship), drive change within a company (intrapreneurship), or provide new ways of approaching your research. This credential appears on your official UF transcript.

Program Overview

  • Credits: 9 credits total (minimum grade of B in each course)
  • Required course: Engineering Innovation (EGN 6642)
  • Electives (choose 2): Engineering Entrepreneurship (EGN 6640), Divergent Thinking (EGS 6100), Engineering Leadership (EGS 6039), Fundamentals of Engineering Project Management (EGS 6626)
  • Application: Apply as a currently enrolled UF student through the Office of Admissions. In the semester you graduate, submit the certificate request in ONE.UF.
