Graduate Student Resources at CTE

 Dear Graduate Coordinators and Staffers,

Welcome to the new semester! My name is Kexuan Wu, and I am the Graduate Student Coordinator at the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE). We want to thank you for your dedication and support of UF’s graduate students and postdocs.

As the semester begins, I’d like to share some resources from our center that are available to graduate students and postdocs.

One of our key offerings is thePassport to Great Teaching program, where your graduate students, TAs, and postdocs can earn the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning(CIRTL) Associate, Practitioner, and Scholar Certificates. These certificates help participants understand the value of the Teaching-as-Research process, and how it can be used for ongoing enhancement of learning.

Each semester, we also offer Passport Workshops to keep TAs and Graduate Students connected and informed, while strengthening their teaching skills and maximizing learning outcomes. Subscribe to CTE's Newsletter to learn about workshops, awards, and conferences at CTE.

If you would like to know more about us and the resources we provide, please feel free to schedule a meeting with me. We are also happy to join your meetings or classes if you would like us to share more about the CTE with your students.

Additionally, we collaborate with the Office of Graduate Professional Development on Prepare Future Faculty program, which is designed for doctoral, postdoc, and terminal masters students. This semester-long program provides insights into faculty roles, tenure and promotion, interviews and hiring, building positive mentoring relationships, and effective teaching and learning practices.
