Intro to Samuel Deegan: UF Student Leader in LLM-Focused AI Safety
Our first event is on the 15th of this month and stars the Head of Mission Alignment at OpenAI. The event will center around a discussion of AI safety, governance and the future of work, something that I believe is relevant information for all student during this transformative time. The last time we talked, you said that you could definitely post about this on the CISE blog, but that, given the importance of the topic, you'd consider other forms of marketing at your disposal. I'm reaching out to follow up with you about marketing on the blog, but if there are other ways that you could help us market this, it would mean a lot.

The AI Security and Risk Association is
dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders equipped to tackle the
critical security and alignment challenges of advanced AI. To achieve this, we
offer a range of educational programs - including our Intro to AI Alignment and
Governance Fellowships - as well as alignment and governance paper
reading groups that foster learning about the frontier of these fields.
Ultimately, our mission is to actively support our most committed students by
connecting them with meaningful research opportunities, internships, and other
pathways to contribute to the safe and responsible development of AI.
