Deadlines and resources to share with your students

Dear Graduate Staff and Faculty,

Spring 2026 has arrived! We are reaching out to remind you of the upcoming deadlines for thesis and dissertation submissions to the Graduate School. We will be updating your graduate students periodically throughout the semester with reminders of our deadlines and where to find our resources. 

Spring 2026

  • Classes Start: January 12, 2026
  • Degree Application: February 6, 2026
  • Doctoral Dissertation First Submission: February 17, 2026 · 5 p.m. ET
  • Master’s Thesis First Submission: March 10, 2026 · 5 p.m. ET
  • Final Submission for All ETD Students: March 31, 2026 · 5 p.m. ET
  • Final Clearance (Approval): April 21, 2026 · 5 p.m. ET
  • Clear Prior (to the upcoming term): May 8, 2026 · 5 p.m. ET

Please remind your students, if they would like to have their document reviewed for formatting prior to submitting to our office, please connect with our partners at the UFIT Help Desk’s Thesis and Dissertation Support Center. Students can book FREE appointments with them through their one-on-one booking portal.
