SHPE Engineering Research Symposium Graduate Support

Engineering Research Symposium – April 1 | Reitz Union Rion Ballroom

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is hosting its Engineering Research Symposium on April 1st in the Rion Ballroom. This campus-wide event gives students the opportunity to present their research, attend professional workshops, and connect with fellow students and faculty across engineering disciplines.

The symposium will feature:
• Two poster sessions
• Four professional development workshops
• Free lunch
• Cash prizes for the top three presenters (1st place: $300)

Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to showcase their work or attend to learn more about research projects on campus.

Although the original abstract submission deadline has passed, we are currently seeking additional graduate student presenters due to a lower-than-expected number of submissions. Participation from graduate students is especially valuable in highlighting the depth of research across UF.

If students are interested in presenting, please email smanrique@ufl.edu or register here:

Additional details are available through the registration link or via the @SHPEUF Instagram page.
