Research Assistant Position Available ECE

Are you passionate about deploying large language models (LLMs) and designing intuitive user interfaces (UIs)? Join our research team and contribute to developing state-of-the-art LLM-powered solutions.

We’re Looking for Candidates With: 

Technical Expertise 

·                     Programming and Development: 

o        Strong skills in Python  

o        Familiarity with UI frameworks such as Streamlit, Flask, or React for building user interfaces. 

·                     LLM Deployment and Integration: 

o        Experience integrating LLMs (e.g., GPT models) into software systems. 

·                     UI Design Frameworks: 

o        Proficiency in frontend tools and frameworks for intuitive and dynamic user interfaces. 

o        Ability to design user-friendly workflows and interfaces for full functional systems. 

·                     High-Performance Computing (HPC): 

o        Familiarity with deploying applications on HPC clusters (e.g., HiPerGator). 

o        Understanding of job scheduling tools like SLURM. 

Soft Skills 

·                     Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 

·                     A collaborative mindset to work in a team environment. 

·                     Strong communication skills for documenting processes and presenting research.  

Key Responsibilities 

·                     Design and deploy an LLM-powered tool for hardware security verification. 

·                     Build and refine intuitive UI frameworks to support real-time user interactions. 

·                     Integrate fine-tuned models with HPC environments like HiPerGator. 

·                     Collaborate on technical documentation and publish research findings.  

Eligibility 

·                     Current MS student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Department of Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) at UF. 

·                     Background in system design, UI development, LLM inference or related areas.
