HWCOE AI Days | October 23 | Poster and Demo Submissions

As part of UF AI Days, the AI² Center has designated October 23 as College Events Day, ahead of university-wide programming on October 26–29. We’re excited to invite you to our inaugural HWCOE AI Days, hosted by the Department of Engineering Education!

Join us for a morning of discovery, conversation, and connection as we celebrate how AI is shaping engineering education, research, and practice. Whether you are already working with AI or simply curious about its possibilities, we would love to have you join us!

Friday, October 23 | 10:00 a.m.–12:20 p.m.
Malachowsky Hall

Our morning program will feature:

  • 10:00–10:20 a.m. | Opening Keynote. John Shea, Senior Associate Dean of HWCOE
  • 10:20–11:00 a.m. | Faculty Panel: Educating Engineers in the Age of AI.
    • Dr. Juan Gilbert – Engineering Education
    • Dr. Swarup Bhunia – Electrical and Computer Engineering
    • Dr. May Mansy – Biomedical Engineering
  • 11:00 a.m.–12:20 p.m. | AI Demos and Poster Showcase

Have something involving AI to share? We want to see it! Faculty, students, postdocs, and staff across the college are invited to submit a poster or demo. Research, classroom applications, prototypes, early ideas, and works in progress are all welcome. This is an opportunity to share your work, receive feedback, and spark new collaborations across disciplines.

Already submitted to the university-wide UF AI Days? You are welcome to submit the same work to our college event! Please also complete the college submission form below so we can include your work in our planning.

Submit your poster or demo by October 11 [extended from October 4]: https://tinyurl.com/HWCOEAIDays

For more information, please contact Andrea Ramirez-Salgado at aramirezsalgado@ufl.edu. We look forward to bringing our college’s AI community together and hope you will join us!
