  Introduction to Intelligent Agents Course number(s): CIS4930/6930 Meeting time: Tuesday, Periods 8–9 (3:00–4:55 PM) and Thursday, Period 9 (4:05–4:55 PM) Location: MAEA 0303 Prerequisites: programming experience in Python   The course covers both the theory and the practice of intelligent agent systems. Students will learn how to design autonomous agents that perceive their environment, make decisions, and act to reach their goals.   CIS4930/6930 - Special Topics: Reinforcement Learning for Humans, Animals and Robots This course will cover reinforcement learning (RL) foundations from biological organisms to autonomous machines. By the end of the course, students will be able to discuss the mechanisms of RL in humans, identify RL concepts at play in human and animal interactions and propose robot learning paradigms inspired by animal training techniques. Students will practice setting up and training RL agents and critiquing the ethical and safety implications of this paradigm.
