Software Developer and Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Software Developer and Technical Support Specialist. This role focuses on software development and technical support for our Inforna and Fragments programs, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of our software applications and provide exceptional support to our user base.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Software Development:

- Inforna Program:

   - Identify and resolve known bugs to enhance the stability and performance of the software.

   - Implement planned functionalities and features to meet project requirements.

   - Evaluate the feasibility of transposing the existing Java-based software into Python.

- Fragments Program:

   - Address identified bugs and implement bug fixes to improve program functionality.

   - Develop and integrate new functionalities based on project objectives.

   - Assess the potential for transitioning the Java-based software into Python.

 

2. Technical Support:

- Provide prompt and effective technical support to users of Inforna and Fragments programs.

- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues reported by users.

- Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users.

- Collaborate with the development team to gather user feedback and identify areas for improvement.

 

Requirements:

- Proficiency in Java programming language for software development.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Experience in software development, including bug fixing and feature implementation.

- Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

- Familiarity with chemistry / genomics principles is desirable.
