Thanks to a recently awarded UF research seed grant, my team and I are embarking on a cutting-edge project that involves utilizing NLP models, specifically BERT, for sentiment analysis. The project will include the development and use of a web scraper to extract relevant data from various social media platforms. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and skilled computer science students who are eager to contribute to this project. UF CISE Software engineering position

  Description:    The LearnDialogue lab has an opportunity for two students to participate in research projects as software engineers. This position is on a volunteer basis for the Spring 2024 semester with the likelihood of transitioning to a paid position from Summer 2024 onward. This is intended to be a long term position, so candidates should have an expected graduation date no earlier than Spring 2025. Ideal applicants will have extensive software engineering experience, specifically experience with web development technologies such as React with Redux, Flutter, Node JS, and experience with Android development frameworks and languages such as Java and Kotlin.
