Paid Summer Internship for UF Students in React and Node

 Symmetric is hiring three computer science students for an 8-week remote internship program called hackerLab. hackerLab is structured as an accelerator program, where each intern both ideates and codes a software platform from scratch to launch a startup idea.

 Program Commitment

  • JavaScript experience with React and Node.js is required. Participants with limited exposure to these technologies must complete relevant full-stack training during the first two weeks of hackerLab.
  • Participants may build their software platforms either part-time alongside another software engineering internship or full-time.
  • The internship is remote, with the exception of Demo Day which is held in-person in Miami.

Important Dates

  • hackerLab S24 begins June 3rd and ends with Demo Day on July 25th.
  • Applications close at 11:59pm EST on Monday, May 6th.

Internship Compensation

  • Full-time: $5,000 stipend
  • Part-time: $2,500 stipend
  • All hackerLab stipends are equity-free.
