Why Consider the CTS Program and T32 Training Grant?

If your career goals include research that impacts human health, the CTS program offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable interdisciplinary research experience. Our CTS Team T32 Training Program equips predoctoral trainees with essential skills for a career in clinical and translational research, emphasizing a team-science approach. As a T32 trainee, you will collaborate with a partner from a different college to form a CTS Team, proposing innovative research aims for your dissertations.

 

T32 Funding

T32 trainees will initially receive one year of funding that includes:

  • a stipend (current year level: $28,224*)
  • tuition waiver (12 credits Fall/Spring, 8 credits Summer)
  • $4,200 for training-related expenses (includes student health insurance)
  • $1,500 travel allowance to attend and present research at the annual Association for Translational Science conference

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • CTS Graduate Program:
    • Open to ALL students.
    • Research must be health-related.
  • T32 Training Grant:
    • 1st or 2nd year PhD students, prior to defending their dissertation proposal.
    • US citizens or permanent residents (Note: Only for T32; all are eligible for the certificate or concentration).
