The LearnDialogue lab is looking for a temporary software developer who is available to start immediately to solve a specific bug within an existing system. Extensive knowledge of Express.js, React.js, and Node.js are required. The application is AMBY (https://amby.campdialogs.org/), which is an interface built based on Google Dialogflow that allows users to create chatbots and input training phrases and responses for the chatbots. AMBY exchanges information with Dialogflow using the Google Dialogflow API. AMBY was built in 2022 and has enabled over 300 children to create chatbots and learn about AI and we are planning to deploy AMBY to several classrooms in mid November, 2024.The developer will be expected to conduct a thorough debugging on the existing codebase. The developer will work closely with the research team to ensure the system runs smoothly during the study and address any potential issues on a timely manner. Expected start time: ASAP


Expected time commitment: 20 hours per week beginning as soon as possible and ending by Dec 1, 2024.
