INFORMS Student Chapter at UF & LoRR 2024

We invite CS students to participate in the INFORMS Student Chapter at UF, representing the largest international association for academics and professionals in analytics, operations research, and management sciences. 

Our chapter focuses on connecting the student community (both graduate and undergraduate) with research or professional interests related to optimization, algorithms, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. We are planning for an active set of events next semester, including an alumni panel on career opportunities that involve optimization and analytics, workshops on technical skills, and social gatherings.

We are currently promoting the League of Robot Runners (LoRR) 2024, a competition that aligns well with interests in algorithms and robotics. To help students get started, we’ve organized an info session this Friday Dec 6 3:30-4:30pm at Weil Hall 401E where you can learn more about the competition, meet others who are interested, and get help forming teams. OPS student needed on various projects

Computational Medical Imaging Lab at UF College of Medicine is looking for a highly motivated OPS student with background in engineering, particularly in image analysis, computer vision, and machine learning to conduct a project on cell classification using fluorescence images of tissue with glioblastoma.
